Collect song requests, meal choices, and anything else when guests RSVP.
Beyond a yes or no, you can ask your guests questions right on their RSVP — a song request, a meal choice, a note for the hosts, whatever you need.
How guests answer
Each question is one of three formats, set when you create it:
- **Free text** — guests type whatever they like. Best for song requests and notes.
- **Pick one** — guests choose a single option from a list you write. Best for a main course.
- **Pick any** — guests can tick several options. Best for "which extras are you coming to?".
For the two pick formats you write the options yourself, and reorder them so they read the way you want. On the Responses tab you then get a count against each option — how many chose the beef, how many the fish — instead of reading a column of typed answers and tallying them by hand.
You can change a question's format later. Renaming an option updates the answers guests have already given; removing one keeps those answers on record, they just stop matching a current option, and the Responses tab tells you when that has happened.
Per-guest or per-group
- Per-guest questions are answered individually — like a meal choice or a song request.
- Per-group questions are answered once for the whole group — like "which night will you arrive?".
Function based questions
Questions can be asked only of those invited to certain functions. For example, you may only need Dietary requirements for a Wedding Receiption, and not the Ceremony. If Dietary Requirements is set to "Reception", then someone invited to only the Ceremony will not be asked to answer this question. The function filters just determins who can see the question, but questions are only asked once even if the guest is invited to multiple functions.
Dietary requirements are built in
Dietary requirements come as a ready-made question, so guests can keep theirs up to date themselves — no need to chase everyone individually.
If Dietary requirements are not relevant to your event, you can disable this question for all functions, and it won't be asked of any guests. It will still appear in the app from your perspective, but is not used.
Gentle nudges, never blockers
You can mark a question as one you'd really like answered. Guests see a friendly nudge, but it never blocks them from submitting their RSVP. Answers appear against each guest, and you can export them. This is due to the instant submission of changes made to the RSVP page to limit the number of RSVPs that don't get properly submitted (for example, if someone is expected to press a Submit button but doesn't see it, they may not realise that their RSVP was not submitted).
